DJ AM Set To Make Cameo In Upcoming 'Iron Man 2' Film

Publicado  April 24, 2010

It seems as though DJ AM had put in a lot of before his untimely death in August. In addition to the drug-intervention reality series "So Far Gone" on MTV, the celebrity DJ also filmed a cameo in the upcoming "Iron Man 2" movie.

The movie's director, Jon Favreau, explained recently that leaving AM's cameo in the movie was a difficult decision to make.

"We tried to make it respectful, and for people who know him, they'll get a kick out of it and for people who don't, it will sort of slide by without much notice," Favreau told the LA Times.

Goldstein will reportedly appear as the DJ in a scene where lead character Tony Stark (played by Robert Downey Jr.) celebrates his birthday. It has not been revealed whether or not AM will have any lines in the scene, but Stark does address him at some point, saying, "Adam, I need a phat beat..."

The film is also dedicated to AM (real name: Adam Goldstein), with his name and his trademark lightning-bolt symbol in the end credits, reports the paper.

AM died in August of last year from an accidental drug overdose. He was found dead in his New York apartment. He was just 36 years old.

In addition to AM, other celebs make cameos as well, including Bill O'Reilly and comics icon Stan Lee.

Tired Of Seeing Pictures Of Her Nipples Showing Through Her Clothes, Britney Spears Dad Bans Her From Going Out Without A Bra

Publicado

The Father of pop star Britney Spears has banned her from leaving her Los Angeles home without a bra, The Sun reported Friday.

Father Jamie - who has legal control over all Spears’ affairs - fears his troubled daughter is getting close to the brink again and has imposed a host of new rules on the Womanizer singer.

He is embarrassed by constant pictures of her nipples popping out of her clothes and has insisted she only leaves her Los Angeles home wearing the correct support.

Jamie, 57, is taking the order so seriously he has even threatened to fire one of the 28-year-old's security guards who has let her be photographed bra-less several times in recent weeks.

Jamie recently forced his daughter, who has two sons, to dump her 38-year-old boyfriend Jason Trawick because he was worried she was falling back into her emotional turmoil after years of recovery.

He feared their volatile relationship was sending fragile Britney close to the edge.

A friend revealed: "Jamie's control over Britney's life is incredible. He hates the pictures of her with her nipples all over the place so he has banned her from leaving the house without a bra.

"He wants her to put across the right impression.”

No End In Sight To Mexico Violence As 6 Police Officers Are Killed In Shootout With Gunmen

Publicado

(AP) CIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico — Gunmen ambushed two police vehicles at busy intersection in Ciudad Juarez on Friday, killing six officers and a 17-year-old girl who was passing by, authorities said.

Chihuahua state spokesman Enrique Torres Valadez said five of the six police officers were federal, and one was municipal. Authorities said the police officers in the vehicles were distracted by someone selling items on the street when the gunmen opened fire. The assailants then fled in three vehicles.

Investigators said they don't know why the officers were shot, although they don't believe they were targeted because of any recent arrests they had made.

No one has been arrested but police said they have recovered two of the three cars used in the shooting.

Ciudad Juarez is one of the world's deadliest cities, and a two-year turf battle between drug cartels has left more than 5,000 people dead.

Elsewhere, police in Guerrero said they found the bodies of five men who had been shot to death lying on a dirt road near Chilpancingo, the capital of the Pacific coast state. Three of the men were brothers, all in their 20s.

The state has been a major battleground for warring cartels, including the Beltran Leyva gang, but it was not clear whether the shootings were part of the ongoing drug violence.

In Morelos state, federal police and the Mexican military raided two ranch homes and arrested eight people near the town of Amacuzac. Those arrested were taken to Mexico City in a helicopter. Authorities said they are suspected drug traffickers.

An estimated 22,700 people have been killed in Mexico's drug war since December 2006.

No Laughing Matter: Islamic Extremists Threaten Lives Of South Park Creators For Poking Fun At Prophet Mohammed

Publicado  April 22, 2010

The creators of "South Park" better watch their backs.

That's what a radical Islamic group based in New York "warned" on their Web site, RevolutionMuslim.com, using violent imagery to express their unhappiness over the depiction of the Prophet Muhammed in a bear suit on the 200th episode of the long-running Comedy Central series.

The episode never actually depicts the Prophet Muhammed, but indicates him as a character wearing a bear suit.

"We have to warn Matt [Stone] and Trey [Parker] that what they are doing is stupid," a posting on the Web site stated on Tuesday, according to reports.

"They will probably end up like Theo Van Gogh for airing this show," it noted, referencing the Dutch filmmaker who was murdered in 2004 over a documentary he made that addressed violence against Muslim women.

"This is not a threat, but a warning of the reality of what will likely happen to them," the statement reportedly concluded.

The suggestion that the message, accompanied by violent imagery, was not meant as a "threat," was echoed by the author of Islamic group's Web site post.

"It's not a threat," Abu Talhah al Amrikee told Fox News, who noted that the show's use of the religious figure could invite violence.

"They're going to be basically on a list in the back of the minds of a large number of Muslims," he said. "It's just the reality."

Despite claims that they did not seek to invite violence against Stone and Parker, the site also reportedly revealed where the "South Park" creators work, and included a sermon calling for punishments for blasphemy against the Muslim religion.

The site no longer appears online, and a phone number associated with the group has since been disconnected.

The Prophet Muhammed was featured in "South Park" in 2001. An episode in 2006 was to feature the Muslim figure again, but Comedy Central censored the scene and it never aired.

Guru's Family Questions Authenticity Of Death Bed Letter

Publicado  April 21, 2010

The family of Gang Starr emcee Guru, has released a statement in hopes that AllHipHop.com and other media outlets would release the information to fans of the late rapper.

The letter states that Guru, born Keith Elam, was comatose and remained unconscious from February this year until his death.

The letter also disputes the legitimacy of any foundations purported to operate on Guru's behalf.

"The Elam family wishes to thank the fans of our son/brother/father uncle/nephew/cousin Keith aka GURU for the outpouring of love, concern and support.

Our hearts are broken by the loss of someone we loved so much. GURU was devoted to his young son, who will most keenly feel his absence.

GURU suffered from multiple myeloma for over a year. Accrued complications from this illness led to respiratory failure and cardiac arrest. As a result, GURU was in a coma from mid February until his death and never regained consciousness. Early on the morning of April 19th, he became hypertensive due to low blood pressure. He again went into cardiac arrest and slipped away from us.

GURU died far too young but he was, and we are, proud of all his many legendary musical contributions.

The family is not aware of any foundations established by GURU. We know and understand that countless fans want to express their condolences and love and, to that end, we are planning a memorial event in the near future that will be all-inclusive. Please look for further details from the family as they become available.

from The Elam Family”

To be accurate, Guru did mention the Each One Counts foundation referenced in the original letter allegedly written by Guru, in a previous interview with AllHipHop.com

Guru died of cancer on Monday, April 19th.

Martin Lawrence - 'Bad Boys 3' Talk Is 'Really Real'

Publicado

In 1995, "Bad Boys" made Will Smith, Martin Lawrence and director Michael Bay household names. Eight years later, the men returned triumphant for "Bad Boys II," an explosive sequel that felt like a coronation of three Hollywood superstars. Now, after another seven years, Lawrence said the "Boys" are back in town — and that talk of another sequel is very real.

"It's real realistic," the comedian revealed to MTV News recently, addressing rumors that he'll re-team with Bay and the former Fresh Prince once again. "We've talked about 'Bad Boys 3.' "

When he made the original film, Bay was a video director looking to break through in Hollywood; now, he oversees massive productions of films like the "Transformers" movies. Back in 1995, Will Smith was slowly overcoming his teen-oriented-rapper stigma as the "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" TV show was winding down and small movies like "Six Degrees of Separation" were earning him decent reviews; nowadays, he is arguably the most bankable movie star in the world.

Some would wonder why outlandish-but-effective detectives Mike Lowery and Marcus Burnett would pop up again now, when the "Bad Boys" talents each have successful careers of their own (Lawrence just opened "Death at a Funeral" this past weekend). According to Martin, however, the time to reunite is now.

"Any time you can get Big Willie to come out and talk about doing a third installment of a hot movie like 'Bad Boys,' you have to take notice," Lawrence explained. "I met with Michael Bay, and he said he's onboard too — so it's real."

Writer Peter Craig is putting together a script for Columbia, and the "Bad Boys" team is ready. "I got Big Willie to come down and see me about the movie. I felt special," Lawrence said of a visit Smith paid to his friend recently to talk about getting the band back together, adding that at this point, the green light is in the hands of the franchise producer. "We're just waiting on Jerry Bruckheimer to let us know when it's really real."

White Serial-Thief Fools Police, Disguises Himself As Black Man, Robs 6 Banks

Publicado

SPRINGDALE, Ohio -- A Florida man police say wore an elaborate mask to rob several banks and businesses in the Tri-State over the past month is behind bars on a $3 million bond.

Conrad Zdzierak, 30, was arraigned Thursday morning on six counts of aggravated robbery in Hamilton County court.

Acting on a tip, officers from several departments served a search warrant at the Extended Stay America Hotel at 320 Glensprings Drive in Springdale Wednesday afternoon where they arrested Zdzierak.

Officers discovered a red dye pack from a bank had exploded inside a vehicle that belongs to Zdzierak.

Police then tried to enter Zdzierak's room, but were encountered by a dog that bit one of the officers, prompting one of them to fire their gun.

Once inside, officers discovered evidence, including a Hollywood-style mask linking Zdzierak to six robberies.

"The suspect seen in the surveillance photographs and that we were looking for, we believed to be an African American male. The suspect was actually a male, white, who was wearing an elaborate disguise," said Lieutenant Michael Mathis with the Springdale Police Department.

Springdale police says they have never seen such an elaborate mask.

Police say Zdzierak committed five of the robberies last Friday, April 9.

Investigators say Zdzierak would hand a note to an employee indicating he had a gun and demanded cash.

According to police, Zdzierak has been living in the Springdale hotel for the last year.

The robberies Zdzierak is charged with are:

- March 5 - Chaco Bank, 1143 Smiley, Forest Park, Ohio
- April 9 - Key Bank, 8457 Winton Road, Springfield Township, Ohio
- April 9 - Fifth Third Bank, 10595 Springfield Pike, Woodlawn, Ohio

The Next Computer Touchscreen: Your Skin

Publicado

Atlanta, Georgia (CNN) -- In Chris Harrison's ideal world, mobile phones would be the size of matchbooks. They'd have full-size keyboards. They'd browse the Web. They'd play videos.
And, most importantly, you'd never have to touch them.

Sound like too much to ask? Maybe not.

Harrison, a graduate student at Carnegie Mellon University and a former intern at Microsoft Research, has developed a working prototype of a system called Skinput that does just that, essentially by turning a person's hand and forearm into a keyboard and screen.

"People don't love the iPhone keyboard. They use them. But they don't love them," Harrison said in a interview at the recent Computer-Human Interaction conference. "If you could make the iPhone keyboard as big as an arm -- that would be huge."

Using Skinput, a person could tap their thumb and middle finger together to answer a call; touch their forearm to go to the next track on a music player; or flick the center of their palm to select a menu item.

All of these sign-language-like movements, which are customizable, would control a gadget in a person's pocket through a Bluetooth connection.

When fitted with a pico-projector, the Skinput system could display an image of a digital keyboard on a person's forearm. So, using Skinput, someone could send text messages by tapping his or her arm in certain places -- without pulling the phone out of a pocket or purse.

"You could pretty much do a lot of what you do on your iPhone," said Harrison, who says Skinput "is [like having] your iPhone on your palm."

The system, which has been under development for eight months, won't be commercially available for two to seven years, said Dan Morris, a Microsoft researcher who is working with Harrison on Skinput.

Before that can happen, Skinput's sensors need to get more accurate, he said. In a 13-person trial in Seattle, Washington, Skinput was found to be 96 percent accurate. But that test only used five buttons. The system would have to improve for people to make use of a full keyboard, which would be the "holy grail," Morris said.

"The accuracy is good, but it's not quite consumer-level yet," he said.

Skinput is one of a number of prototypes, ideas and near-products aiming to make computing more natural.

These devices seek to move beyond the mouse and physical keyboard, letting people communicate with their gadgets by gesturing, using sign language or, in the case of Skinput, tapping on their hands, fingers and forearms.

The arm as an instrument
Understanding how Skinput works makes it seem all the more futuristic.

The system turns a person's arm and hand into a wiggling, pulsating instrument, full of vibrations that can be picked up and translated.

Skinput users wear an armband -- the prototype version is made of an elbow brace -- that's lined with 10 sensors. These sensors look like tiny diving boards with dumbbells on one end, and they pick up inaudible sounds that range in frequency from 25 to 78 hertz.

When a Skinput user taps a thumb and middle finger together, the impact sends ripples down the skin and through the bones in the person's arm. "They sort of start resonating -- like guitar strings," Harrison said. The diving-board receivers read the sound waves to figure out what gesture the person made, and then relay that information to a phone.

Skinput can tell whether a person tapped a middle finger or an index finger, because the two moves sound slightly different to the springy receivers.

The system takes one or two minutes to learn the sounds of a particular person's arm, Morris said, and then it can be used however the user likes.

Trial and error
When they started working on Skinput, Morris and Harrison weren't sure if it would be possible to turn the human arm into a virtual keypad. The pair tried clipping sensors to the ends of peoples' fingers and other strange configurations that made users feel like cyborgs.

"We spent a lot of nights in the lab tapping on our arms and wondering if this would ever happen," Harrison said.

But the most profound achievement of Skinput is proving that the human body can be used as a sensor, he said.

Morris believes Skinput will make computing accessible to people in a way that never would have been possible before.

With Skinput, "literally, computing is always available," he said.

A person might walk toward their home, Harrison said, tap their palm to unlock the door and then tap some virtual buttons on their arms to turn on the TV and start flipping through channels.

"It's almost like magic," he said.

Kim Kardashian Angers Twitter Fans & Animal Rights Activists With The Way She Handles Cat In Pic

Publicado

WHEN US reality type Kim Kardashian posted a picture on Twitter yesterday of her holding an uncomfortable looking cat by the scruff of the neck, a flood of hateful messages followed.

Many too expletive-laden for us to use, suffice to say the "Twitterverse" wasn't happy.

"This is hot!!!!!!!.... Just don't let PETA get an eye of this cuz it look like that kitty is in pain," one fan wrote (with perfect grammar clearly).

TMZ reported Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals L.A. as saying: "It is permissible to hold a kitten by his or her scruff for a brief amount of time" but "the manner in which Ms. Kardashian is holding the kitten could lead others to mishandle animals."

The controversial pic was taken at a photo shoot in Sydney this week, with Kim posting "good kitty cat!" under the snap.

Confidential asked the RSPCA's Michael Beatty for his take on the puss's predicament.

"To be honest, we probably handle them like that most of the time," Beatty said.

"But if it's a larger cat, we'd put the hand under the rump. She's at least half right."

Yesterday Kardashian looked serene and calm on the outside but inside was anything but when asked about recent reports that she had moved on from long-time beau, gridiron player Reggie Bush, and been spied kissing Real Madrid soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo.

The cable TV starlet, who is going into her fifth series of Keeping Up With The Kardashians in the US and has become a gossip magazine favourite, has been flown out to Australia to promote a new Optus product, the Motoblur.

But it was social networking of another kind that was on Confidential's mind when we met up with the curvy 29-year-old at The Winery yesterday.

When asked about her break-up with Bush she said: "We're great friends. We broke up in March but there's no drama. It's so crazy because people always want to make it dramatic but there really wasn't an issue, we just didn't spend as much time as we used to together. We are focused on work."

And when asked about reports she'd been spotted kissing soccer star Ronaldo a week ago she refused to comment: "I've kissed about 1000 people this week, according to US tabloids."

Legendary Rapper Guru Of Gang Starr Dies From Cancer At Age 43

Publicado

After a nearly two-month hospitalization, legendary rapper Guru (best known as the frontman for Gangstarr) died Monday morning (April 19), after a long battle with cancer, reports DJPremierBlog.com.

He was just 43 years old.

Solar, Guru's business partner and sidekick in recent years, told the Yo!Raps (who's PR company had been coordinating press for Guru since his hospitalization) that the 43-year-old rapper had been suffering from a "malicious illness for over a year and after numerous special treatments under the supervision of medical specialists failed".

He had tried to keep the cancer diagnosis private, but in early March, news leaked that Guru had been admitted to the hospital, suffered a heart attack, and was recovering from a mystery illness. Previous reports said he suffered from Anoxia, effects from a lengthy history of asthma and lung problems, but these new findings reveal a much worst condition.

"The world has lost one of the best MCs and hip-hop icons of all-time -- my loyal best friend, partner, and brother, Guru," Solar said in a statement. "Guru has been battling cancer for well over a year and has lost his battle! This is a matter that Guru wanted private until he could beat it, but tragically, this did not happen. The cancer took him. Now the world has lost a great man and a true genius.

"For the fans that reached out with love and support, I can't tell you how much that meant to Guru and myself. Guru prepared this letter (read below) while he was in the hospital for the fans," the producer continued. "I hope now that Guru has moved on to a better place."

According to Yo! Raps, Guru penned this letter to fans, explaining his illness while in the hospital with terminal cancer. Read it below in its entirety:

"I, Guru, am writing this letter to my fans, friends and loved ones around the world. I have had a long battle with cancer and have succumbed to the disease. I have suffered with this illness for over a year. I have exhausted all medical options. I have a non-profit organization called Each One Counts dedicated to carrying on my charitable work on behalf of abused and disadvantaged children from around the world and also to educate and research a cure for this terrible disease that took my life. I write this with tears in my eyes, not of sorrow but of joy for what a wonderful life I have enjoyed and how many great people I have had the pleasure of meeting.

My loyal best friend, partner and brother, Solar, has been at my side through it all and has been made my health proxy by myself on all matters relating to myself. He has been with me by my side on my many hospital stays, operations, doctors visits and stayed with me at my home and cared for me when I could not care for myself. Solar and his family is my family and I love them dearly and I expect my family, friends, and fans to respect that, regardless to anybody's feelings on the matter. It is my wish that counts. This being said I am survived by the love of my life, my sun KC, who I trust will be looked after by Solar and his family as their own. Any awards or tributes should be accepted, organized approved by Solar on behalf myself and my son until he is of age to except on his own.

I do not wish my ex-DJ to have anything to do with my name likeness, events tributes etc. connected in anyway to my situation including any use of my name or circumstance for any reason and I have instructed my lawyers to enforce this. I had nothing to do with him in life for over 7 years and want nothing to do with him in death. Solar has my life story and is well informed on my family situation, as well as the real reason for separating from my ex-DJ. As the sole founder of GangStarr, I am very proud of what GangStarr has meant to the music world and fans. I equally am proud of my Jazzmatazz series and as the father of Hip-Hop/Jazz. I am most proud of my leadership and pioneering efforts on Jazzmatazz 4 for reinvigorating the Hip-Hop/Jazz genre in a time when music quality has reached an all time low. Solar and I have toured in places that I have never been before with GangStarr or Jazzmatatazz and we gained a reputation for being the best on the planet at Hip-Hop/Jazz, as well as the biggest and most influential Hip-Hop/Jazz record with Jazzmatazz 4 of the decade to now. The work I have done with Solar represents a legacy far beyond its time. And we as a team were not afraid to push the envelope. To me this is what true artists do! As men of honor we stood tall in the face of small mindedness, greed, and ignorance. As we fought for music and integrity at the cost of not earning millions and for this I will always be happy and proud, and would like to thank the million fans who have seen us perform over the years from all over the world. The work I have done with Solar represents a legacy far beyond its time and is my most creative and experimental to date. I hope that our music will receive the attention it deserves as it is some of the best work I have done and represents some of the best years of my life."

Guru (real name: Keith Elam) rose to fame in the 80s as the frontman to the legendary rap duo, Gangstarr, also consisting of DJ Premier. The group released the classic single, "Words I Manifest," which was followed by their critically acclaimed debut, No More Mr. Nice Guy, in 1989. The group went on to release six official albums through 2003, before they split and went their separate ways.

Guru went on to found 7 Grand Records, partnering with producer Solar, and embarked on a solo career.

Since falling ill, there's been a lot of controversy over news of his hospitalization. Family members of Guru publicly claimed that Solar had taken over control of the rapper's decision making and had even barred them from visiting. The only official statements being released from the veteran rapper were relayed through his longtime partner Solar, which raised eyebrows from former Guru collaborators and friends. Solar, however, publicly denied claims of any malicious intentions and was only following the rapper's instructions.

Unfortunately, Guru never got well enough to clear things up himself.

On Monday (April 19) when Guru passed away, so did a piece of hip-hop. He'll forever go down in history as one of the best MCs to ever do it. Rest in peace GURU!

Christina Aguilera Says She Feels Sexier Than Ever As She Preps New CD 'Bionic'

Publicado

Christina Aguilera may be a mom, but that by no means puts her in the mood to tone down her look or music videos. In fact, Aguilera says her new album, "Bionic" promotes the fact that she feels "sexier than ever".

Referencing her son, Max, and the maturity that comes with being a mom on the set of "Not Myself Tonight"(video), Aguilera said "[Having a baby] makes you appreciate your body in ways you never knew existed prior. It’s a comfort level with your body. Maturity. Having wisdom and the knowledge you didn’t have in your early 20’s and not know quite how things work yet. Mmmm. (laughs) And how to get the best of them. So, with age, comes those lessons and those growing moments.”

According to GMTV, who was granted access to the anticipated shoot for "Not Myself Tonight" earlier this month, Aguilera is back and ready to play with a new deck of cards.

"[I've been] going through that whole growing cycle of being a mom, where with age, I know now exactly what I want," Aguilera told the UK based program. "I have a better understanding of exactly how to get it... I feel sexier than I ever have."

In related news, Christina Aguilera is slated to tape an episode of VH1Storytellers and perform during Toyota's Summer Concert series, the latter airing on the 'Today Show' in June.

50 Cent & Val Kilmer - Gun (poster)

Publicado

According to 50 Cent, who has written three feature-film scripts recently, the role Kilmer will be playing was transported from a different screenplay. "He's actually a character from a different project, but I got him to come out of there when he saw the value of what he was looking for."

Fitty explained that "The Gun" has a "socially conscious" theme. "It's about how a weapon goes from manufacturing to its distribution point, to being in a citizen's custody — and how it ends up in the wrong hands," he said. "We watch the actual gun travel through a few different people's hands."

"I'm a criminal," explained Kilmer, saying he gets the gun at one point. "And we're friends."

"Gun" would mark the second time 50 Cent and Kilmer have collaborated, following their recent straight-to-DVD release "Streets of Blood." And if all goes well, the rapper said, perhaps 50 will ask the veteran actor to collaborate in the medium that made him famous.

Plot By Bloods & Crips To Assassinate Cops Uncovered In New York Drug & Gun Ring Bust

A massive gang takedown in Queens uncovered a rare alliance between Bloods and Crips and a ruthless plot to assassinate cops, authorities said Friday.

The revelations came as law enforcement unveiled the chilling results of long-running "Operation Under Siege" - 104 suspects, dozens of guns, two slayings and piles of drugs and cash.

The sprawling case was built on wiretaps - including recordings of gang associate Keith Livingston, who blabbed about plans to protect his drug turf by killing cops on patrol.

"He intended to position himself on rooftops and shoot police officers who were compromising his business in Far Rockaway and South Jamaica," Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said.

"Before his deadly plans could be carried out, detectives arrested him and seized a defaced 9-mm. Hi-Point rifle, among other weapons."

Livingston's plot was only one facet of an investigation that began two years ago when police and prosecutors began looking into a drugs-and-guns network in Far Rockaway.

By Friday, they had arrested 104 people, closed two murder cases, and exposed ties between Far Rockaway Crips and the Bloods in South Jamaica.

The Crips, working to lock up the drug trade at four housing projects, bought cocaine, heroin and marijuana from a gang that should have been their enemy.

"The Bloods in South Jamaica aren't loyal to the Bloods in Far Rockaway, who were feuding with the Crips," a law enforcement source said. "That's what made this so unusual."

In fact, some of the Bloods in Far Rockaway were actually part of four Crips sets known collectively as Flocc - the last "c" standing for Crips.

One of the Flocc leaders was charged with shooting at an occupied NYPD car in January during an altercation with members of a Bloods set known as "Klick Klack." The cops were not hurt.

Livingston was arrested in September after he was heard on his cell phone complaining he was fed up with cops on foot patrol along Sutphin Blvd. in South Jamaica.

The officers were part of Operation Impact, an NYPD initiative that floods crime-ridden areas with rookie cops.

"[He] was unhappy with the fact that the police were out there, aggressively doing their job," said Deputy Chief Robert Boyce, head of the NYPD's Gang Division. "He stated that he wanted to shoot a police officer, to get them out of the way, from a rooftop."

Police secured a warrant and arrested Livingston hours later at his home on 160th St., recovering two guns, including the camouflage Hi-Point.

Livingston, charged with gun possession and conspiracy, is being held on $250,000 bail. His lawyer did not return a call.

The Livingston recordings are among thousands of hours of wiretap evidence amassed by the operation.

"It's tedious work. It's laborious work," Kelly said. "But it was extremely fruitful in this case."

Other top suspects collared in the probe include Gquan Lloyd, 23, the Crip who allegedly helped merge the four sets "mainly to corner the narcotics trade."

He was charged with gun possession. His lawyer could not be reached for comment.

Farrad Smith, 23, who worked as a corrections officer for a year before getting fired, was also busted on a weapons rap. Under his mattress, police found a 9-mm. handgun allegedly stolen from another corrections officer and a loaded AK-47.
