For the original concept of his Black Magic album, 50 Cent said he was inspired by dance music while touring overseas. Now that he's in the U.S., on the Invitation Tour, the G-Unit team captain said he has a whole other muse for a completely different album.

"I started working on it," 50 said last week in Los Angeles. "I been working on writing to a concept for Black Magic. ... I recorded 19 songs. Then when I got back to the U.S., I started writing to a different concept. I spoke to Em. He called me when I was starting in Detroit."

Before Fif could go more in-depth about his upcoming album, his friend, Floyd Mayweather — who sat in on the interview as well — announced he has an LP as well. "We're doing a compilation album," Money Mayweather said. The boxing champ said he'll be highlighting various artists on the project.

"We'll probably launch it in the heat of the next bout," Fif said. "It'll probably be the biggest fight in the history of the sport."

Of course, 50 was referring to the long-delayed Mayweather/ Manny Pacquiao title bout. Floyd wants Pacquiao to take Olympic-style drug testing, and Manny has resisted thus far.

Back to the music: Fif and Mayweather agree that a lot of the hip-hop out right now has taken a softer turn.

"It'll just make room for you to impact when [the hardcore] comes back," 50 assessed. "No one told the world to enjoy that [softer] music temporarily. I think a big portion of why people didn't want to hear the aggressive content is because the people conveying them were lying."

"You got rappers in today's time, they get a small advance from their record label, get a bunch of tattoos, a few piercings on their face, go to jail for 10 or 20 days, [then] they killers," Mayweather weighed in. "Next time out, they rock stars. I think rap is crazy, but it's still very creative."

Since “O, The Oprah Magazine” is celebrating it’s 10th anniversary, Oprah slid through Hearst Headquarters and passed out iPads, personalized leather iPad cases and $10,000 checks to her employees.

Call it the 2010 version of “You get a car, you get a car, you get a car, everybody gets a car!” Oprah Winfrey dropped by Hearst headquarters on Tuesday to mark the 10th anniversary of O, The Oprah Magazine, which emerged from a famously difficult launch process to become a powerhouse title.

And she gave every staffer an Apple iPad, a leather iPad case with the staffer’s initials, and a check for $10,000, regardless of how long the staffer had worked there.

A Hearst spokeswoman confirmed the visit and gifts. “These were personal gifts to the staff from Oprah to thank them for their hard work and dedication to the magazine,” the spokeswoman said.

In 2004 Ms. Winfrey gave each member of her show’s studio audience a Pontiac G6. General Motors, which provided the cars for the publicity, later discontinued the Pontiac brand.

Michael Jackson Video Game To Be Released This Holiday Season. Fans Will Be Able To Moonwalk Next To The King Of Pop.

Michael Jackson fans will be able to moonwalk next to the King of Pop in a new video game to be released this holiday season by Ubisoft Entertainment.

The as-yet-unnamed game will be among the first to use new motion-detecting camera systems to be available later this year for Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Sony's PlayStation 3. The announcement was made Monday at the E3 video game show in Los Angeles.

The game will also work with hand-held controllers on Nintendo's Wii and on the smaller Nintendo DS and PSP portable console from Sony.

The game's launch will roughly coincide with the planned sale of a new album containing unreleased Jackson recordings in November.

Ubisoft marketing vice president Tony Key says as part of the game, players will learn how to mimic the late Jackson's signature moves. Key says, "You are going to learn to moonwalk."

Seattle Cop Punches 17 Year Old Girl In The Face After Stopping Her For Jaywalking

Hide the women and kids, Seattle, Washington's finest are on the loose. And whatever you do don't jaywalk or you might get lumped up by the boys in blue.

Seattle Police Officer Ian Walsh punches a 17 year old girl in the face following a confrontation with her and a friend he stopped for jaywalking.

According to Walsh the girls became "verbally antagonistic" which set in motion a disastrous series of events.

As the cop detains one of the girls by grabbing her arm, another intervenes by pulling her friend away. She appears to push the officer who responds by punching her in the face.

Robert Bragg, the program manager for Seattle's Fitness and Force Training said a blow to the face was "well within the scope of appropriate responses to the situation."

Drake Show Shut Down By NYPD

A Drake show scheduled for Tuesday evening (June 15) in Manhattan was canceled by the New York Police Department after crowd control became a safety concern for organizers of the event.

Upward of 10, 000 fans lined the South Street Seaport and even more were present on the outskirts of the venue, lurking, in hopes of spotting the Toronto rapper.

Drake was set to appear onstage at 7:45 p.m. ET, but leading up to his appearance, the crowd swelled to a larger-than-expected size. Organizers of the event, sponsored by Paper magazine and also featuring Hanson and Ninjasonik, began slowly asking attendees to be prepared for a cancellation.

Confusion abounded just moments later, however, as concertgoers jockeyed for closer positions to the stage, unaware of any danger. Ultimately, police pulled the plug on the event and began trying to disperse bystanders.

Drake — celebrating the release of his debut album, Thank Me Later, on Tuesday — tried to notify his fans via Twitter that he was unable to take the stage. "Police are shutting down the show at South Seaport! I'm on my way anyways," he wrote. "Drizzy Hendrix Woodstock 2010."

The upstart MC, though, was understandably disappointed he was unable to share in the excitement with his fans and issued a statement apologizing to his fans.

"I am humbled by the crowd that showed up in support of my performance and the release of Thank Me Later," Drake told MTV News in a statement. "I love performing for my fans, but unfortunately, the show was canceled by the NYPD due to overcrowding, leaving me without the chance to give my fans a real show. I'm thankful for the support that the fans have been giving me ... I thank you now."

Fans were also disappointed, but many feared for their own safety as people fought, threw items from nearby restaurants and even trampled other attendees.

New York University student Adam Vinson spoke with MTV News and described the chaotic scene. "People didn't know how to have manners," he said. "Everyone was up against each other pushing. There was just too many people there. In New York City, though, people are gonna come from out of state, and in the city, there's already millions of people. The concert goers packed and people started fighting.

"I saw dudes fighting," he added. "One dude said he was gonna light this place up; it was that serious. Once I saw that, it was my cue to leave. People started pushing, bottles were thrown and once dude threatened to shoot, people started trying to get out."

New XBox Unveiled at E3 & XBOX Kinect

Microsoft has unveiled the next XBox at the world's biggest gaming expo, E3.

Also unveiled was the XBox Kinect, which is Microsoft's response to the Nintendo Wii's motion controls. Additionally now the Xbox supports wifi internet. The major difference between the old Xbox controllers and the Kinect is that with Kinect no controllers are necessary, just you. This works through the Kinect's new motion capture camera that captures every move you make and translates it to your in game character. Kinect will be retailing for $150 and release in November.

As for the redesigned XBox it looks like an entirely new system on the outside, sporting a new black glossy finish, a reduced size, and new angles and cuts. However, on the inside the XBox is largely the same in processing power, but will receive a larger hard drive. The new XBox is shipping now and should be at your local retailer this week.

Alicia Keys Wants To Adopt A Child From Africa

Alicia Keys has proven she has a heart as big as her musical talent. Her Keep A Child Alive Foundation has been doing charity work in Africa since 2002. Helping families who can't afford adequate medical supplies and providing valuable AIDS awareness education.

The charity has helped over 250,000 of Africa’s young people affected by Aids.

The 29 year old singer is also expecting her first child with producer/rapper Swizz Beatz.

“I can’t wait to become a mom. No question. It’s the most beautiful gift in the world. Truly a gift from God," she told Britain's Daily Mirror.

Being pregnant has renewed her interest in adopting a child from Africa.

“Adopting is definitely not out of the question. I would love to figure out the ways that could work for me. I felt I wanted to scoop up the children I met in Africa and take them home. At this point I kinda feel I have amazing brothers and sisters in Africa. Hopefully I can be their big sister who they know they can depend on and will always be there, fighting for them.”

As an American, but with a British fiancé in the form of comedian Russell Brand, her loyalties were clearly divided.
So instead of choosing to back one side or the other, Katy Perry showed her support for both teams when she stepped out wearing a rubber dress which had one half made from a Union Jack flag and the other from an American Flag.

The 25-year-old star showed off her amazing figure in the super tight outfit as she left her hotel in London after watching the show to head over for an interview on James Corden's World Cup Live chat show, to be shown tonight on ITV1.
However, before leaving the hotel, Katy was thrown into a panic when she was told the specially-made dress was on a flight which had been delayed.

She tweeted: 'Another amazing race for a dress has happen again. Important dress. It's on a plane now, but plane had 2 emergency stop cuz someone passed away mid flight! So sad!

'So we'll see if the dress makes it in time... If not, my world cup convo is gonna take a beating on the chat show.'

But clearly the dress arrived in one piece, as Katy stepped out looking thrilled with her new outfit last night.
And she was equally excited by the 1-1 draw score between England and America, tweeting: 'EVERYBODY WINS!!! I LIKE THAT! (Plus as an american marrying a englishman... I am DIVIDED)'

Katy is currently in the UK promoting her new album, as well as preparing for her role as guest judge on The X Factor.
Talent show bosses confirmed on Friday that Katy would be one of the four celebrity judges standing in for Dannii Minogue, who is in Australia preparing for the birth of her first child next month.

ITV shows English fans an ad instead of Gerrard goal

England supporters had been waiting four long years to get back to the World Cup stage to finally see what their proud Three Lions had in them against the world's best. So they were undoubtedly very excited to see Steven Gerrard slot home the first goal of their World Cup campaign against the U.S. Except many of them didn't see it.

Viewers of ITV HD weren't presented with those triumphant images, as the network completely, 100 percent, absolutely, unquestionably, blew it. Instead of the goal, ITV showed viewers an inexplicably placed advertisement, the ITV HD logo, then nothing at all, until right after Gerrard scored the match's fast first goal.

Of course, this isn't the first time ITV has done this. Two seasons ago, it cut to an ad just as Everton scored a winner against Liverpool and promised harsh action to address the problem. Guess not.

Sadly, they didn't have an in-game advertisement to cover up Robert Green's amazing choke show later in the match. That would've been welcomed.
