11-Year Old Thai Girl Makes It Into Guinness Book Of World Records As "World's Hairiest Girl"

When you're born with a rare condition that makes hair grow uncontrollably all over your body and has only affected around 50 other people in the world, life can be a nightmare especially for an 11-year old girl. But for Supatra Sasuphan of Bangkok,Thailand it is quite the opposite.

You see Supatra suffers from Ambras Syndrome - caused by a faulty chromosome. Before the disease was understood, sufferers were branded 'werewolves.'

She has thick hair growing over her face, ears, arms, legs and back. Even laser treatment has failed to stop the hair growth.

But while most sufferers have been shunned, Supatra has gradually been embraced by her community, and became a popular and outgoing child. 'I'm very happy to be in the Guinness World Records! A lot of people have to do a lot to get in,' she said. 'All I did was answer a few questions and then they gave it to me.'

She said: 'There were a few people who used to tease me and call me monkey face but they don't do it any more.
'I'm very used to this condition. I can't feel the hair as it has always been like this. I don't feel anything.
'It does sometimes make it difficult to see when it gets long.I hope I will be cured one day.'

Besides the hair issue, Supatra lives life just like any other young girl. Hanging out with friends, listening to music, dancing and swimming are among her daily routine. She also her future plans thought out as she hopes to become a doctor.

'I want to become a doctor so I can help patients when they get injured.'I want to help people who get hurt and help cure people.'

Meet the dorky, controversial mascots for the 2014 Olympics

A snowboarding leopard, a figure-skating bunny and a polar bear wearing a scarf will be the three mascots for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Russia. Though those are some of the safest choices imaginable, the decision has led to charges of plagiarism, corruptibility and vote-rigging.

The winners were announced on a live television show broadcast throughout the country. Viewers cast over 1 million votes for the nine candidates and officials selected the top-three to serve as Sochi's official mascots. The snow leopard came out on top with 28 percent of the vote.

Viktor Chizhikov, the man who designed the mascot to the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow, believes this bear is a direct copy of his.

"This polar bear, everything is taken from mine, the eyes, nose, mouth, smile," he told a Moscow radio station. "I don't like being robbed."

Eminem Gives Dr Dre That Extra Push Needed To Finish 'Detox'

In the video Eminem raps over an Alex Da Kid produced track about how Dre saved his life at the beginning of his career, and how he wants to return the favor by bringing Doc out of the coma he's in due to a car crash.

“The car crash I think is just metaphorically speaking, feels like Dre’s been in a coma, and like me and hip-hop are trying to wake him up out of his coma," Eminem told Extra.

It does seem like the wait for 'Detox' has been a very, very long one. Eminem thinks it's time for that wait to be over.

"The reaction I wanted was to spark him even more than he's been sparked lately. And kind of push it further to get him to finish the album," Em added

Dre says it worked, giving him that last burst of creative energy to get it done.

“That’s what it did. He was like, ‘Yo, come on, let’s go! Let’s get it.’ This is what he was saying after I heard the song,” Dre said. “It’s weird because that’s how I started feeling last night during the making of this video, kind of feeling the rehabilitation and everything. It just really feels that way.”

Ciara and Rihanna Exchange Fiery Words on Twitter

The divas duked it out on Friday night as Ciara and Rihanna got into a feisty Twitter exchange that had the Internet buzzing.

CiCi appeared as a guest judge on E!’s “Fashion Police” earlier in the evening. When a photo of Rihanna at the BRIT Awards was shown on screen, she commented, “I ran into her recently at a party and she wasn’t the nicest and it’s crazy because I’ve always loved and respected what she’s done with fashion. I’ve ran into her before, but this time it wasn’t the most pleasant run-in.”

Host Joan Rivers chimed in by saying, “A b****!” before Ciara told her with a laugh, “You crazy.”

Rihanna was tuned in to the television because she responded on Twitter shortly after the episode aired. “My bad ci, did I 4get to tip u? #howrudeofme,” she wrote before Ciara shot back, “Trust me Rhianna u dont want to see me on or off the stage.”

“U gangsta huh? Haaa,” laughed the “S&M” singer. “Good luck with bookin that stage u speak of.”

But the ladies settled their differences soon after. “Ciara baby, I love u girl! U hurt my feelings real bad on TV! I’m heartbroken! That’s y I retaliated this way! So sorry! #letsmakeup,” said RiRi.

Ciara agreed to put it behind them, telling her peer, “Rhi u know its always been love since day 1! Doing shows/everything. you threw me off in that party! Apology accepted. Let’s chat in person.”

UN Council slaps sanctions on Libya's Gadhafi

UNITED NATIONS – The U.N. Security Council moved as a powerful bloc Saturday to try to halt Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi's deadly crackdown on protesters, slapping sanctions on him, his children and top associates.

Voting 15-0 after daylong discussions interrupted with breaks to consult with capitals back home, the council imposed an arms embargo and urged U.N. member countries to freeze the assets of Gadhafi, four of his sons and a daughter. The council also backed a travel ban on the Gadhafi family and close associates, including leaders of the revolutionary committees accused of much of the violence against opponents.

Council members additionally agreed to refer the Gadhafi regime's deadly crackdown on people protesting his rule to a permanent war crimes tribunal for an investigation of possible crimes against humanity.

The council said its actions were aimed at "deploring the gross and systematic violation of human rights, including the repression of peaceful demonstrators." And members expressed concern about civilian deaths, "rejecting unequivocally the incitement to hostility and violence against the civilian population made from the highest level of the Libyan government."

U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon congratulated council members for the unified vote, saying it "sends a strong message that gross violations of basic human rights will not be tolerated."

"I hope the message is heard, and heeded, by the regime in Libya," Ban said.
