Like the two simultaneous Christopher Columbus movies, the two simultaneous Steve Prefontaine movies and the simultaneous asteroid-attacking-earth movies, there are two Snow White movies coming out in the next two years. Considering they both have substantial star power, it can be difficult to keep the two movies straight. One is being directed by someone named Rupert Sanders, is called "Snow White and the Huntsman" and is starring Kristen Stewart as Snow White and Charlize Theron as the Evil Queen. The other is being directed by Tarsem Singh
-- whose "Immortals" hits screens this summer -- is called simply "Snow White" and stars "The Social Network"'s Armie Hammer as the Prince and Julia Roberts as the Evil Queen. And this weekend, that one cast its Fairest Of Them All.
The winner of that Snow White derby is Lily Collins, a name you're likely not familiar with but will be rather soon. Collins, daughter of music legend Phil Collins, has only starred in one movie so far, "The Blind Side," (she was Sandra Bullock's daughter) but has two high-profile movies coming out this year: "Priest," with Paul Bettany battling vampires, and "Abduction," a crime thriller starring Taylor Lautner (her rumored real-life boyfriend) and directed, curiously, by John Singleton. But that's nothing compared to playing Snow White opposite Julia Roberts' Evil Queen.
