L.A. Reid Says He'll Announce New Label Home "In A Little While"

L.A. Reid may have bounced from Universal Music Group, but he's far from being done as a record executive.

And with good reason - This is the same man who signed artists like Outkast, Mariah Carey, Pink, TLC, Usher, Ciara and many more. It's obvious he has an eye for musical talent, it was just time to move on from UMG.

"I just left, I had to leave Universal Music Group and try my hat on someplace else," Reid told Hot 97 host Angie Martinez.

In between his real "day job", Reid will be a judge on Simon Cowell's X-Factor, it's just a temporary pit stop in Reid's career, which dates back to the 70's, both as an entertainer and executive.

Reid promises the announcement for his new label home will come soon

"We'll announce that in a little while." he said.
